STAINLESS STEEL VALVES

APE is a leading supplier of high performance and racing valves for motorcycles. APE stainless steel valves are precision manufactured from aircraft quality Inconel based stainless steel. This special material offers excellent resistance to heat and distortion. APE stainless steel valves are designed to be used in the most extreme racing applications including the use of exotic fuels, or will give many miles of trouble free street use. They present an outstanding value. In most cases you can upgrade to APE stainless steel valves for less than the cost of replacement stock valves. All oversize stainless steel valves feature hard chrome stems for extra long stem to guide life.

Lash Caps

Lash caps are necessary when using a valve without a hardend tip in a rockerarm motor where the rocker adjuster screw rides directly on the valve tip. This would include all titanium valves, and any custom valves machined from blanks.

Please note that all of the finished valves we list in this catalog that are for a motor with a screw type rocker arm application have hardend tips and do not need lash caps.

APLC550-100 for use with offset valves in GS1100/1150 Suzuki motors, or GSXR's using GS valves.. It has a large O.D. for the rocker screw to contact. It is .060" deeper than std. Keeper groove in the valve must be .060" further from the valve tip than stock GS Suzuki.
